Docents of The National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi
OUR DOCENT MINISTRY
In that the National Shrine is a spiritual and physical asset of the entire Archdiocese, we have expanded our outreach and mission to become more inclusive of the Faithful throughout in all three counties (Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo) served by the Archdiocese. Thus, our Docents are able to concentrate on the Parishes within their counties of residence to expand the Ministry while retaining joint overall responsibility for day-to-day scheduling and staffing.
We are extremely fortunate to have specific docent representation, and we thank each of our docents and co-directors for their continued support for the new direction of the National Shrine as our program continues to grow and be refined.

Volunteers Wanted
The National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi, which is the 5th place in the world to have received, by Papal Decree, its own Pardon, is located in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach District, is calling YOU to volunteer at the Porziuncola Nuova! You can volunteer to be a docent or greeter with weekday or weekend shifts for as little as 4 hours once a month, and training will be provided.
